Hurdal Verk is a Christian school and is owned by Misjonssambandet.
Those of us who work here have a Christian worldview and wish to convey values of compassion and neighborly love. We strive to help create a safe and inclusive environment at our school.
Do you have to be Christian to attend here?
No, everyone is welcome here regardless of their faith. We have all kinds of students with different values and worldviews, which creates an exciting environment. One of our core values is that everyone should feel respected, included, and valued, regardless of their faith.
How will you notice that it is a Christian school?
- We have morning gatherings (approx. 10-15 min) every day after breakfast where students and staff can share something important to them. Here, some share content with a Christian focus.
- We offer teaching in Christian faith/ethics with optional topics (Faith and Life).
- We have voluntary Christian meetings on Sunday evenings and every other Thursday.
- We offer voluntary discussion groups and Bible study groups held at staff homes every other Thursday.
What do you offer for me as a Christian?
For those who are Christian, we facilitate a good Christian community where you can grow in your faith. We have Sunday meetings with good preaching, worship with a band, and prayer. You can participate in separate boys’ and girls’ groups, and will experience both being challenged and equipped in your faith with us. Read more about the Christian community at the school.
