Backpacking Asia

We pack our bags and get ready for a unique and tailored backpacking trip in Southeast Asia.

The trip to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and China will give you travel memories and experiences you won’t soon forget.

Some of the places we visit are well-known backpacker destinations, but it’s even more exciting when we go to unknown places and explore the countryside. On this journey, you’ll experience a completely different part of the world. There will be exciting human encounters and cultures different from what you’re used to, and there will be activities and nature experiences that create lifelong memories.

In Thailand, we will help give children and young people an opportunity to go to school. We have our own aid project, and you will make a difference for orphanage children.

The journey continues to Laos, where there are hardly any tourists, but an indescribably beautiful nature. The people are also incredibly friendly. We travel to a village deep in the jungle and visit local Laotians in their homes.

By train, we travel on to Vietnam, where you will get close to culture, history, food, and people. We hike between rice fields and villages in Sapa. We then move on to Hanoi, experiencing city life and attractions like “train street.” The entire trip concludes with snorkeling and beach life under a magical sunset.

In China, you will experience a country that combines ancient traditions with a modern lifestyle. Here you will meet people proud of their history and a society full of contrasts.

On this trip, you will experience a mix of activities, warm climate, cultural encounters, and fantastic nature. These will be memories and experiences for life.

Outdoor Life – Norway

Before we travel out into the world, we experience the adventure here at home! On Ticket to Ride – Asia, we use nature as our classroom. We paddle, climb, go on summit hikes, and sleep under the open sky. We learn to light fires in the snow, brew coffee in fresh mountain air, and find peace in the silence.

The highlight? Dog sledding in winter conditions! Together with eager huskies, we glide through white landscapes, feel the wind on our faces, and work closely with both nature and animals. It’s genuine achievement and adventure, Norwegian style.

Outdoor life with us isn’t about being extreme, but about experiencing, challenging yourself, and having fun together. We go on trips both with and without tents, try winter overnight stays, ice bathing, orienteering, and collaborative activities out in nature.
