What you get on Football & Groundhopping

• 2 football sessions a week during the day with technique, tactics and game understanding
• Opportunity for 2–3 extra club training sessions per week
• Player development at your level. You don’t need to be a top player, just want to get better
• Unique football trips with Groundhopping in Norway and Europe: We visit at least 15 stadiums throughout the year
• Deep dive into supporter cultures, football analysis, quiz, Football Manager and EA Sports FC
• Note: Remember that at this school you choose 2 MAIN SUBJECTS! You’ll get more variety in your daily life and can tailor your year to include multiple interests. Explore the possibilities.

Live the football life for a whole year

Here you’ll get plenty of ball contact and the opportunity to develop as a player at your own level.

• Minimum 2 sessions a week during the day, with everything from football and futsal to cageball and teqball. We play matches against other folk high schools and local junior teams.
• Opportunity to train 2-3 days a week in the evenings with the local amateur clubs Hurdal IL and Eidsold IL, with teams in the 4th 6. and 8th divisions.
• If you want even more football, you can combine Football & Groundhopping with the Ball Sports line, which also has a lot of football on the schedule.

Groundhopping Germany

Our longest trip involves Interrail and train travel through Europe, with a tour of Germany and Austria. It’s amazing to see Bayern Munich play at the fantastic Allianz Arena with 75,000 spectators, or perhaps we’ll be in the middle of ‘The Yellow Wall’ feeling the pressure from the fanatical supporters in Dortmund? But it’s at least as much fun to visit a packed home stadium in the 2. Bundesliga, when Greuther Fürth meets Karlsruher. The atmosphere in German football stadiums is fantastic.

Groundhopping England

Join us on a tour around Great Britain to visit everything from top clubs in the Premier League, via Championship, League One, League Two, to non-league ‘backyard clubs’ far down the divisions, where we find the wildest and most passionate supporters. We pack in as many matches as possible, at all levels, to experience the breadth of English supporter culture. Imagine standing in the middle of a crowd of dedicated die-hard fans at Adams Park watching Wycombe take on MK Dons. No tourists, just thousands of mad supporters belting out one wild chant after another from their hilarious and inexhaustible songbook. We’re talking goosebumps!

On our trips to Germany/Europe and England, and the various matches we’ll see in Norway, we experience great differences in supporter culture. We bring these experiences back to our own classroom and discuss them through a game of EA Sports FC.

Maybe we’ll even meet football celebrities along the way?
