Hard to choose a course? With us, you choose 2 courses. For example, you can combine a travel course with a strength training course, or a cooking course with Ball Sports. This way, you can tailor your year to your interests. 2 classes give you twice as many friends and twice as many opportunities.

We go all in on electives! In addition to taking 2 courses, you can choose from over 60 electives! During the year, you choose at least 8 different electives, in addition to two full elective weeks.

You’ll find the coolest study trips here. At Hurdal Verk, we have extensive experience in organizing educational and meaningful study travels. We have destinations in Asia, Africa, South America, the USA, and Europe. Our trips aim, among other things, to create an understanding of other people and cultures, and give you experiences you need for life.

The analysis company EPSI conducts an annual survey among former students at all folk high schools. The 2025 user survey showed that Hurdal Verk is among the top 5% of schools for customer satisfaction. We score particularly high on well-being and environment. We work actively to ensure that everyone feels seen, included, and respected, no matter who you are.

A well-maintained and beautiful school contributes to well-being. Plenty of training facilities mean you won’t get bored in your spare time. We have 2 modern weight rooms, an indoor skate ramp, a gym, and a beach volleyball court. There is a 9-hole disc golf course, a park with a swimming area, and a football pitch at the school. Within 2 km, we have an artificial turf pitch, a sports hall, an alpine center, and miles of groomed cross-country ski trails.
